ICOE 2023 Konferenz | 04.-08.06.2023

RWTH Aachen University hosted the 6th International Conference in Ocean Engineering (ICOE) 2023 from 04-08.06.2023. There was also a presentation about the Trilawatt project: “High-resolution data-based geomorphological analyses of the trilateral Wadden Sea”. The paper was written by smile Consult (Julian Sievers and Peter Milbradt) and won the „Best Paper Award“ at the ICOE 2023! The paper is available for download below.

WSF-43 plenary meeting | 28.-29.03.2023

The TrilaWatt project was presented at the Wadden Sea Forum Plenary Meeting held in Harlingen, the Netherlands on the 28th and 29th of March 2023. There were representatives from the agricultural, energy, fishing, harbors, industry, and tourism sectors as well as from local and regional governments at the plenary meeting. The participants of the plenary meeting and the members of the Wadden Sea Forum have agreed to a submission forwarded to the Wadden Sea Board, which calls for support in data acquisition on a trilateral level as well as closer cooperation between the TrilaWatt project and the trilateral working and expert groups.

TrilaWatt Stakeholder Workshop | 16.02.2023 10:00 – 12:00

On February 16, 2023, TrilaWatt stakeholders were updated on the current state of research and encouraged to participate in future data products at the 2nd TrilaWatt Steakholder Workshop. The workshop took place online via WebEx. Each project partner presented their work package – the presentations can be downloaded below. KÜNO – 3. Coastal Symposium | 09.-11. Nov 2022

The German Marine Research Consortium is organising the 3rd Coastal Symposium “Coast in Transition 2022” from 9-11 November in Hamburg. It brings together scientists and practitioners and is a forum for exchange on research topics such as:

  • alternative coastal protection strategies
  • sustainable fisheries
  • multiple stressors for coastal organisms

TrilaWatt will be represented at the symposium by several project participants. Julietta Weber (BAW) will present the project with a poster.

KFKI-Seminar 2022 | 03.11.2022 10:00 – 17:00 Uhr

Robert Hagen (BAW) reported at the KFKI Seminar 2022 under the title: “Application-oriented reference data on hydrodynamics and geomorphology of the German Bight” on the status of work in the TrilaWatt project.

TrilaWatt Kick-Off Event | 16.02.2022 13:00 – 15:00

On 16.02.2022 a kick-off event for the TrilaWatt project took place between 13:00 and 15:00. Participants were the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV), the project partners (Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute (BAW), smile consult GmbH, planGIS GmbH, Wadden Sea Forum e.v.) as well as almost 90 invited representatives of institutions and from the private sector, who were to be involved through the kick-off.

The mFUND project TrilaWatt is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure BMDV for 3 years since 01.01.2022. It is processed by the Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute BAW, smile consult GmbH, Wadden Sea Forum e. V. and planGIS GmbH.
